White Baby Mommas and Black Mothers

I love how in America when a white woman is alone raising a baby everyone goes "Awww her boyfriend must've left her," but if it's a black woman everyone says "She was a whore. Well, now she's a baby momma!"

I just find this really funny because a 2005 survey found that 65% of white women between the ages of 18-35 were in a sexual relationship but not married. Only 45% of black women between those ages were in a sexual relationship and not married.

Interestingly, the average age for a white woman to marry was 27 while for a black woman it was 22. Meanwhile, the average age at which a white woman had a baby was 24 while for a black woman it was 23. Kinda interesting that the average white woman has a baby BEFORE marriage while the average black woman has one AFTER marriage.

From a more personal perspective, my apartment building has two young mothers. Except one is a baby momma. Alicia, a young black woman with a three-year-old son is happily married. Shelby, a twenty-five year old white baby momma, became a baby momma after sleeping with a random guy at a party.

But of course, according to most white people, Shelby is a poor innocent white woman while Alicia's a slut that spread her legs for everyone.

Don't Judge a Girl By Her Underwear

My friend Jessica has always been a bit of a bitch.

A typical blonde chick from the suburbs, she had it all. Money, looks, a BMW, a great house, wonderful family, lots of friends, you name it. Unfortunately, she ended up thinking she was better than everyone else.

Jessica would shop at the nicest brand name places, from Abercrombie to American Eagle to Victoria's Secret. In fact, she shopped everywhere. Everywhere except at the one store at the very end of the mall. Goodwill.

Jessica HATED Goodwill and laughed at everyone who went in it. Not only that, she would occasionally make a trip to the mall just to pass by the store so that she could laugh at all the "poor black people and dirty Mexicans who shop there."

One time during sophomore year of high school Jessica made fun of a black girl because she shopped at Goodwill. Looking down at the poor girl in the most cruel, teasing way and not caring that the girl looked like she was about to cry, Jessica asked "Where do you get your clothes?"

"Uhh...Goodwill..."

"Ohhhh hahaha Bummer!!!! So what's it like to be poor?"

This was just one of many incidents where Jessica belittled other girls, mainly minorities, for not being as rich and spoiled as she was. She knew for a fact that she was rich. What she didn't know was that her privileged lifestyle was about to end.

In her first year of college, Jessica did not pass a single class. Not even yoga. And she took yoga twice, both semesters. She racked up $50,000 in debt from general tuition costs, failing classes, withdrawing from classes, buying and then losing textbooks, utilities, and rent. Her parents got sick of her bragging about how she was partying on Monday nights and cut her off financially. Not only that, her roommate kicked her out and her boyfriend broke up with her so she was without any source of money because Jessica refused to work since that was for "losers."

To reduce her debts and have some money on hand Jessica sold her BMW and was able to bring her debt down to $23,000. Better but still not great.

For Thanksgiving break, a much quieter and depressed Jessica came to visit us. She arrived with a friend who was more than eager to drop her off and leave. Although glad to see us, Jessica was almost crying when she told us about how difficult her life had become. Instead of spending outrageous amounts on clothes from Abercrombie and Victoria's Secret she now got everything from pants to panties at Goodwill and this morning, she was on her period and had to choose between buying food for breakfast and a pack of maxi pads. That's when she realized she didn't even have enough money for a pack of maxi pads so she had to lose her pride and use toilet paper like "some poor ass girl."

To cheer her up we decided to take her to the mall to visit some of her favorite stores. As we passed by Victoria's Secret, a bunch of black and hispanic girls were visible through the store windows.

Shocked and forgetting that life had changed, Jessica blurted out "WHAT ARE THEY DOING IN THERE??? THEY'RE TOO POOR TO SHOP THERE!!!!!"

My friend Emily looked like she was going to slap her and said "Umm.....Jessica???? Your panties came from Goodwill and you have toilet paper in your panties instead of a pad cuz you can't afford to buy a freaking pack of maxi pads!!!!!!!"

As Emily said this, the group of black and hispanic girls walked out of Victoria's Secret and heard everything. All of them burst out laughing and one black girl said "Oooh...Bummer!!!!!"

All Jessica could do was stare stupidly at the ground while biting her lip and frowning. No amount of her make-up could hide the color of her face which had turned to tomato red.

Here's Jessica over Thanksgiving Break. She ran out of jeans to wear and unlike in the past when she would just buy a new pair, ended up spending the day in her underwear since she was too lazy to do her laundry. 

White Women

Blondes are dumb. So are brunettes.

I'm saying this because it's very true and honest. Although I am white, I can admit that there is probably no one stupider and more selfish on this planet than a white woman. 

Although race relations have definitely improved over the past decade, I would say that black men have gained much more equality than black women. White women are still in a much more powerful position in America than black women.

Who's more likely to get into college? A white girl.

Who's more likely to get a job? A white woman.

Who's always portrayed as hot and sexy on TV? White women.

Who's always on the covers of magazines and in commercials and ads for lingerie? White women.

Why? In this blog I want to explore how America is still favoring white women over black women and how stupid white women really are.
